Muscle Activities Changing Model by Difference in Sensory Inputs on Human Posture Control

چکیده
For understanding of human posture control, changes in muscular activity caused by changes in sensory inputs are very important because the control mechanism is complicated with integrating multi-inputs and outputting various and simultaneous muscular activity. In this research, we aim to obtain quantitative changes in muscular activity caused by changes in sensory inputs. For this purpose, we propose a method to be founded on the idea that muscle activity is divided into external force elements and internal elements. With this method, we can show the existence of internal muscular activity as well as external muscular activity. And it is considered that new model of human posture control with the difference of sensory inputs might be obtained.

Human Postural Responses to Sensory Stimulations: Measurements and Model
In the paper we examined the influence of vestibular and leg proprioceptive inputs on the human upright posture. Vestibular input was changed by applying current 1 mA between places near to left and right ear. Proprioceptive input was modified by vibrating the calf muscle. Furthermore, the vestibular stimulus was combined with the muscle vibration using five different temporal relationships bet...
متن کاملSensory synergy as environmental input integration
The development of a method to feed proper environmental inputs back to the central nervous system (CNS) remains one of the challenges in achieving natural movement when part of the body is replaced with an artificial device. Muscle synergies are widely accepted as a biologically plausible interpretation of the neural dynamics between the CNS and the muscular system. Yet the sensorineural dynam...
متن کاملA link-segment model of upright human posture for analysis of head-trunk coordination.
Sensory-motor control of upright human posture may be organized in a top-down fashion such that certain head-trunk coordination strategies are employed to optimize visual and/or vestibular sensory inputs. Previous quantitative models of the biomechanics of human posture control have examined the simple case of ankle sway strategy, in which an inverted pendulum model is used, and the somewhat mo...
متن کاملEffect of Hypothermia by JZL-184 on Muscle Strength and Sensory-Motor Dysfunction in Permanent Middle Cerebral Artery Ischemia Model in Male Mice
Introduction: Currently, there is no effective and comprehensive treatment for ischemic stroke. There is strong clinical evidence for the benefits of hypothermia in neuroprotection. Therefore, the present study aimed to determine the effect of mild non-invasive hypothermia by JZL-184 on behavioral improvement in stroke rats. Methods: This study was performed on 5 groups of male mice weighing 2...
متن کاملA Human-Like Control for Sensorimotor Multi- Tasking in Humanoid Robots
This paper introduces a human-derived humanoid control concept that allows voluntary movements with automatic posture control. The concept consists of a modular control architecture, where each DOF is served by one control module. The control modules are based on the DEC model (DEC, Disturbance Estimation and Compensation). The DEC model combines sensory-derived disturbance estimates for re-act...
